Regulation of video surveillance

NDAA compliant cameras are cameras that meet the requirements of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which is a United States federal law that sets policies and budgets for the Department of Defense (DoD) and other national security programs.

In particular, NDAA compliant cameras must not contain any components or software from certain Chinese technology companies that are deemed a national security threat by the U.S. government. These companies include Huawei, ZTE, Hytera, and Hikvision, among others.

Therefore, NDAA compliant cameras are designed to ensure that they do not pose any risk of cyber-espionage or other security breaches that could compromise U.S. national security. These cameras are typically used in government facilities, military installations, and other sensitive locations where security is a top priority.
